הדובר אומר: “The centre used to open at eight, but from September the doors will open at nine thirty.”

המשפט “The café is opposite reception, just past the stairs, rather than beside the main entrance as it was last year” אינו מורכב במיוחד מבחינת דקדוק, אך הוא דורש להחזיק בראש כמה נקודות מיקום ולבחור את העדכנית.

מקשיבים למילים כמו however, instead, now, actually, rather than, originally, but, from next week.

Listening Part 2?

שנייה אחת אתם צריכים להבין שהדובר עבר לדבר על אזור חדש במפה; רגע אחר כך אתם צריכים לזהות שעה, ואז להבין ש־“included in the standard fee” הוא למעשה תשובה לשאלה שבה כתוב “available at no extra cost”.

הוא יכול לומר included in the price, at no additional charge, או covered by your membership.

The facility closes at six, sports facilities are included, the new facility is beside the car park.

אם כתוב “The new café is beside the _____”, אתם מחפשים שם עצם, כנראה מקום או חפץ.

לדוגמה, אם אחת האפשרויות היא “The course is suitable for complete beginners”, אין צורך לחכות לביטוי המדויק. לפני ההקשבה כבר אפשר לחשוב על no previous experience, first-time participants, newcomers, people who have never….

“The normal fee is thirty pounds, although students registering this week pay twenty-four.”

כאשר מופיעות מילים כמו but, however, actually, instead, except, although, rather, צריך לבדוק אם מה שרשמתם עדיין תקף.

“Go through the main entrance, turn right after reception and the office is opposite the lifts” מחייב לנהל תמונה בראש בזמן שהדובר ממשיך.

הטעות השנייה היא להכיר מילים בודדות אך לא צירופים מרחביים. opposite, next to, beyond, at the far end, on your left, just past, in the corner ו־between צריכים להפוך ליחידות אוטומטיות.

אם נדרש “NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS”, תשובה בת שלוש מילים אינה הופכת נכונה מפני שהמשמעות שלה טובה.

Multiple Choice:

אם האפשרויות הן “cheap”, “convenient” ו־“quiet”, הדובר יכול לומר: “It isn’t the cheapest option, but people like it because they can get there directly from the station.”

מומלץ ללמוד גם מילים פונקציונליות שמאותתות על ארגון: firstly, moving on to, finally, in addition, except for, rather than, meanwhile.

כאשר אתם עצמכם מתחילים להשתמש בביטויים כמו instead of, rather than, included in, available from, קל יותר לזהות אותם אצל דובר אחר.

Listening?

IELTS Listening Section 2

Listening Part 2?

ראשית לומדים את אוצר המילים המרחבי עד שהוא אוטומטי: opposite, beside, beyond, through, past, at the end, in the corner, north/south/east/west.

Listening?

General Training?

כאשר אתם שומעים שינוי כיוון – but, however, actually, instead, although, rather than – בדקו מחדש כל תשובה זמנית שרשמתם.
