הכנסת If I had known…
תלמידים חזקים לומדים לא רק מילים אלא צירופים: play an important role, make an informed decision, gain practical experience, have a positive impact, take responsibility.
התלמיד רואה however, although, which ו־therefore ומרגיש שהוא “יודע את זה”.
Although smartphones can be useful learning tools, they often distract students during lessons.
I think volunteering is good. It helps people. Students can learn things. It is important.
בחיבורים כאלה תלמידים נוטים לכתוב טענות כלליות: homework is important, phones are bad, projects are better.
Phones should never be allowed anywhere in school Schools should restrict phone use during lessons.
Model composition:
Homework has traditionally been considered an essential part of school life, but I do not believe students should receive large amounts of it every day. Practice after class can be useful, especially when students need to review difficult material. However, homework is effective only when it has a clear purpose.
Students already spend many hours at school. If they are given excessive assignments, they may complete them quickly simply to finish rather than think carefully about what they are learning. In addition, teenagers need time for sleep, exercise, family and other interests, all of which contribute to their development.
In my opinion, teachers should give shorter, focused assignments instead of routine homework. Such tasks can strengthen important skills without turning every afternoon into another school day. Quality, rather than quantity, should be the main consideration.
Quality, rather than quantity.
- מדוע המילה excessive מדויקת יותר מ־a lot of?
- כיצד הייתם מחליפים את contribute to their development בביטוי אחר?
Model composition:
Many teenagers find it difficult to concentrate during the first lessons of the day. For this reason, I believe secondary schools should consider starting slightly later in the morning. A later start would not solve every educational problem, but it could create better conditions for learning.
Students who arrive at school exhausted are unlikely to participate actively, even when the lesson itself is interesting. If they had more time to sleep, some might be more alert and able to remember what they learn. A later schedule could also reduce the stressful morning rush experienced by many families.
Of course, changing school hours may create difficulties for parents and transport services. Nevertheless, practical challenges should be examined rather than used as a reason to reject the idea completely. A school timetable should support effective learning, not simply continue a routine because it is familiar.
המבנה If they had…
- מדוע הכותב משתמש ב־some might ולא ב־all students will?
Model composition:
I strongly believe that basic financial education should be taught at school. Teenagers learn many academic subjects, yet some finish school without knowing how to plan a budget, compare prices or understand the consequences of borrowing money.
Financial decisions are part of adult life. A student who learns how to distinguish between needs and wants may be better prepared to manage a salary in the future. Furthermore, discussing savings, bank accounts and responsible spending can help young people recognise that small daily choices often have long-term effects.
Schools cannot prepare students for every situation they will face as adults. However, they can provide useful principles that students can apply in different circumstances. Financial education would therefore be more than another subject to memorise. If taught through practical examples, it could become a valuable life skill that students continue to use long after graduation.
Model composition:
Working in a group can be more effective than working alone, provided that each member takes responsibility. I generally prefer teamwork because people can combine different abilities and notice solutions that one person might miss.
For example, when students prepare a presentation, one person may be good at research while another is confident speaking in front of the class. By dividing the work intelligently, the group can produce a stronger result. Teamwork also teaches people to listen, compromise and explain their ideas clearly, skills that are useful far beyond school.
However, group work becomes frustrating when one student does everything and others contribute very little. Teachers should therefore make individual responsibilities clear. In my view, a well-organised group offers both academic and social benefits, whereas poorly planned teamwork can easily become unfair.
- כיצד combine different abilities שונה מ־help each other?
Model composition:
School uniforms are often criticised because they limit personal choice. Nevertheless, I think a simple uniform policy can be beneficial, especially when it is flexible and affordable.
Clothes sometimes become a source of competition among teenagers. Students whose families cannot afford expensive brands may feel uncomfortable when fashion becomes a way of showing social status. A uniform does not remove every difference between students, but it can make clothing less important during the school day. It may also save time in the morning because students do not have to decide what to wear.
On the other hand, schools should allow some personal expression and should not require unnecessarily expensive items. A sensible policy can balance individuality with a shared school identity. For that reason, I support uniforms, but only when the rules are practical and respectful.
Passive.
Model composition:
Volunteering can teach students lessons that are difficult to learn from textbooks. For that reason, I support including community service in secondary education, although students should be offered several ways to complete it.
Helping at an animal shelter, assisting younger children or supporting elderly people can expose teenagers to lives that are different from their own. As a result, they may develop patience, responsibility and greater awareness of their community. Volunteering can also help students discover interests or abilities they did not know they had.
However, forcing everyone into exactly the same activity could have the opposite effect and turn volunteering into a punishment. Schools should therefore provide choices and explain the purpose of the programme. When students are given meaningful responsibilities rather than meaningless tasks, community service can become an educational experience instead of merely another requirement.
המשפט When students are given…
Model composition:
Smartphones are useful tools, but I believe their use should normally be restricted during lessons. Having constant access to messages, videos and social media makes it difficult for many students to give their full attention to what is happening in class.
A phone can certainly support learning. Students may use it to check a word, photograph notes or participate in an activity chosen by the teacher. The problem begins when the device controls the student's attention rather than serving a clear educational purpose. Even a short notification can interrupt concentration and make it harder to return to a demanding task.
Instead of banning phones from school completely, teachers should decide when they are needed and when they should remain out of sight. Technology is most valuable when people control how they use it. It becomes less useful when it constantly controls them.
- החליפו give their full attention בביטוי אחר.
I believe.
Model composition:
Subjects such as art and music are sometimes treated as less important than mathematics or science. I disagree with this approach. Schools should provide students with opportunities to study creative subjects because education should develop more than examination skills.
Creative activities require students to make decisions, experiment and express ideas in different ways. A child who struggles in a traditional academic lesson may discover confidence through drawing, performing or playing an instrument. In addition, cultural subjects can help students understand perspectives and traditions that are different from their own.
This does not mean every student needs to become an artist or musician. The purpose is to provide a broader education and allow young people to discover different strengths. If schools focus only on subjects that are easily tested, valuable abilities may remain unnoticed. A balanced curriculum should make room for both academic and creative development.
Model composition:
Traditional exams are useful because they show what students can remember and apply under time pressure. However, I do not think they should be the only method used to assess achievement. Projects can reveal abilities that a written test may not show.
When students complete a project, they often need to research, organise information, solve problems and present a final result. These skills are valuable in further education and employment. Projects can also encourage deeper learning because students have time to investigate a subject rather than memorise material for one morning.
At the same time, projects are not automatically fair; students may receive different levels of help at home. For this reason, the best system would combine several methods. Exams can measure individual knowledge, while carefully designed projects can demonstrate how students use that knowledge in practice.
Model composition:
I believe schools should encourage students to be physically active every day, although this does not necessarily mean having a formal sports lesson each morning. Long school days involve a great deal of sitting, and short periods of movement can provide a useful break.
Physical activity may help students return to lessons feeling more alert. It can also introduce young people to forms of exercise they might continue outside school. Importantly, the aim should not be to make every student competitive. Some teenagers dislike traditional team sports but enjoy walking, dancing, swimming or individual fitness activities.
Schools therefore need to offer variety. If exercise is presented only as competition, some students may avoid it. If it is presented as a normal part of a healthy routine, more young people may find an activity that suits them and continue it in adulthood.
המשפטים המקבילים If exercise is presented…
Technology has advantages and disadvantages.
ניסוחים כמו may, can, is likely to ו־in some situations מאפשרים לכתוב טענה חזקה בלי להמציא ודאות שאין לנו.
Model composition:
Artificial intelligence can be a valuable learning tool, but students should not use it to replace their own thinking. In my view, schools should teach responsible AI use rather than simply banning the technology.
A student might use an AI tool to generate practice questions, explain a difficult concept in simpler language or suggest ways to improve a paragraph. Used in this way, technology can support learning. The situation is very different when a complete assignment is generated and submitted without the student understanding it. In that case, the finished work may look impressive while very little learning has taken place.
Teachers should therefore make clear which uses are acceptable. Students also need to be able to explain and defend what they submit. AI will probably remain part of education, so learning to use it critically is more useful than pretending it does not exist.
Used in this way הוא מבנה מקוצר אלגנטי, והניגוד בין impressive work לבין little learning מחזק את הטענה.
Used in this way.
- מה משמעות defend what they submit?
Instead of.
Model composition:
Social media can help young people communicate and discover new interests, yet I believe younger children need stronger protection when using it. Age limits alone are unlikely to solve every problem, but completely unrestricted access is not a sensible solution either.
Children may encounter advertising, false information or conversations that they are not ready to evaluate. They can also feel pressure to compare themselves with carefully edited images of other people's lives. Parents and schools therefore need to teach children how online platforms influence attention, emotions and choices.
In my opinion, reasonable age restrictions should be combined with education and parental guidance. A rule is most useful when children understand why it exists. Simply blocking an application may delay a problem; teaching responsible habits can prepare young people to make better decisions when they eventually gain access.

Model composition:
Online learning has made education more accessible for many people. Although I would not replace every classroom lesson with an online one, I believe digital learning is especially valuable when students need flexibility or individual support.
A learner can attend a lesson from home without spending time travelling, which may make regular study easier to maintain. Online lessons can also provide access to teachers who do not live nearby. In a one-to-one setting, the lesson can be adjusted quickly when the learner needs extra practice in a particular skill.
However, successful online learning still requires active participation. Simply turning on a computer is not enough. Students need opportunities to speak, ask questions, receive feedback and apply what they have learned. When technology is combined with good teaching, the location of the lesson becomes less important than the quality of the interaction.
- מדוע simply turning on a computer הוא ניסוח אפקטיבי?
Model composition:
Digital books are convenient, but I still prefer printed books for long periods of reading. Both formats have clear advantages, so the better choice often depends on the purpose.
An electronic book can contain hundreds of titles in one lightweight device. Readers can search for a word immediately and often change the size of the text. These features are particularly useful when travelling or studying. Printed books, however, do not require a battery and may make it easier for some readers to concentrate without notifications or other digital distractions.
For a short reference, I would probably choose a digital version. For a novel or a text that requires careful attention, I prefer paper. The debate should therefore not be about declaring one format superior in every situation. Readers benefit most when they can select the tool that matches the task.
Model composition:
Technology has made communication faster than ever, but speed does not always mean quality. I believe excessive dependence on digital communication can weaken face-to-face relationships, particularly when people use their phones while they are physically together.
Messages are useful for arranging plans and staying in contact with people who live far away. However, a text cannot always communicate tone, facial expression or emotion accurately. In addition, a conversation becomes less satisfying when one person repeatedly checks a screen instead of listening.
The solution is not to stop using technology. Digital communication is now an important part of everyday life. Instead, people need to decide when a device is useful and when it should be put aside. Technology should help us stay connected; it should not prevent us from giving full attention to the person sitting beside us.
יש כאן משפט מפתח חד: speed does not always mean quality.

Model composition:
Video games are often described only as entertainment, yet some of them can also support learning. I do not think games should replace teachers or textbooks, but carefully chosen games can develop useful skills.
Many games require players to solve problems, make quick decisions or continue trying after failure. Games in another language may also expose players to new vocabulary in a meaningful context. Because progress is often immediate and visible, learners may be motivated to practise for longer than they would with a repetitive worksheet.
Of course, not every game is educational, and spending too many hours in front of a screen can create other problems. The important question is how a game is used. When it has a clear learning purpose and is combined with other activities, it can become one useful tool among many rather than simply a distraction.
Model composition:
Many online services are convenient because they remember our preferences and personalise what we see. However, users do not always consider how much personal information they provide in exchange for that convenience. I believe digital privacy deserves much more attention.
People often accept conditions without reading them, share their location or allow applications to collect information they do not need. Once personal data has been shared, controlling how it is stored or used may become difficult. This is especially important for young users, who may not understand the long-term consequences of what they post.
Individuals cannot solve every privacy problem alone, so companies and governments also have responsibilities. Nevertheless, users can learn to check permissions, use stronger security settings and think before sharing. Convenience is valuable, but it should not require people to give away information unnecessarily.
Present Perfect Passive.

Model composition:
Phones and computers are essential tools for study, work and communication, so completely avoiding screens is unrealistic for most people. Nevertheless, I believe regular periods without digital devices can be beneficial.
Many people reach for their phones automatically whenever they have a free minute. As a result, quiet moments that could be used for thinking, resting or talking to someone are quickly filled with information. Turning off unnecessary notifications or leaving a phone in another room for an hour can make it easier to focus on one activity at a time.
A digital break does not need to last an entire day. Small boundaries may be more practical and easier to maintain. For example, people could avoid phones during meals or shortly before going to sleep. The goal is not to reject technology but to use it deliberately rather than automatically.
Even though.
Model composition:
Artificial intelligence will probably change many jobs, but I do not believe the future should be described only in terms of jobs disappearing. New technologies can remove some tasks while creating demand for different abilities.
Routine work may increasingly be automated, which means employees will need to adapt. Skills such as communication, judgement, creativity and the ability to learn may become even more valuable. Workers who are willing to update their knowledge are likely to be in a stronger position than those who expect their profession to remain unchanged.
Governments, employers and educational institutions therefore have an important role. People should be given realistic opportunities to retrain throughout their careers. No one can predict exactly how AI will affect every profession, but preparing people to learn continuously is more useful than either ignoring technological change or assuming that it will automatically create disaster.
Passive.

Model composition:
The internet gives us immediate access to enormous amounts of information. Even so, I do not agree that people no longer need to remember important facts. Searching is useful only when we already understand enough to recognise whether an answer makes sense.
A person who knows nothing about a subject may find it difficult to judge which online source is reliable. Basic knowledge also allows us to connect new information with ideas we have already learned. Without that foundation, every new fact remains isolated and is easier to misunderstand or forget.
Of course, memorising endless lists is not an effective form of education. Students should learn how to find information as well as build a strong base of knowledge. The two skills support each other. The internet can extend what we know, but it should not become a substitute for knowing anything ourselves.

“We must save the planet” הוא משפט רגשי, אבל הוא אינו מפתח טיעון.
זה גם מקום טוב להשתמש ב־Passive באופן טבעי: more bins should be provided, food can be donated, cycling routes need to be improved.
שימו לב למילים שמבטאות קשר סיבתי: therefore, as a result, which means that, consequently, because of this.
כתבתם “There should be more parks.” “People will exercise.” “A nearby public space may make activity easier for people who cannot travel to sports facilities.”
Model composition:
I believe cities should invest more in reliable public transport. People are more likely to leave their cars at home when buses and trains are frequent, affordable and easy to use.
Good public transport can reduce the number of cars on crowded roads and give people who do not drive greater independence. It is particularly important for teenagers, elderly residents and workers who cannot afford a car. However, simply telling citizens to drive less will achieve little if the alternatives are slow or unreliable.
Improving transport requires money and long-term planning, but the benefits can extend far beyond a single journey. Better connections can make it easier to reach jobs, schools and services while reducing pressure on busy city centres. If local authorities want people to change their travel habits, they must first provide a realistic alternative.
For these reasons.
Model composition:
Recycling is a simple way for households to reduce waste, and I think local authorities should make it as easy as possible. However, I am not convinced that punishment should be the first method used to increase participation.
People are more likely to recycle correctly when bins are clearly labelled, collections are convenient and the rules are easy to understand. Complicated systems can lead to mistakes even among people who genuinely want to cooperate. Education is therefore an important part of any recycling programme.
There may eventually be a place for reasonable rules, especially when businesses produce large amounts of waste. Nevertheless, a successful system should first remove practical barriers. If recycling requires less effort and residents understand what happens to the materials they separate, participation is likely to improve. Good policy should make responsible behaviour easier, not merely punish irresponsible behaviour.
Passive.
- החליפו participation is likely to improve בניסוח אחר.
Model composition:
When cities become crowded, open green areas are sometimes treated as land that could be used for more buildings. In my opinion, this is short-sighted. Parks and public gardens are an important part of a healthy city.
A nearby green space gives residents somewhere to walk, exercise, meet friends or simply spend time outdoors without paying for an activity. This can be particularly valuable for families who do not have private gardens. Trees and plants can also make dense neighbourhoods more pleasant places to live.
Of course, cities need housing, roads and businesses as well. The challenge is to plan for these needs without removing every open area. Once land has been completely developed, creating a large public park later may be extremely difficult. Urban planning should therefore consider not only what a city needs today but also what residents will need in the future.
Once… provides causal framing without statistics.
Present Perfect Passive.
Model composition:
A surprising amount of food is thrown away simply because people buy more than they can use. I believe reducing food waste should begin with everyday habits rather than complicated campaigns.
Planning meals before shopping can prevent unnecessary purchases. People can also check what they already have at home and learn the difference between food that is unsafe and food that is merely past its best quality. Restaurants and shops can contribute by offering suitable portions and finding safe ways to donate food that would otherwise be wasted.
No single action will solve the entire problem, but small changes made by millions of households and businesses can matter. The important step is to treat food as a resource rather than something that can easily be replaced. Buying more carefully is good not only for the environment but also for a household budget.
- מה משמעות otherwise be wasted?
Model composition:
When possible, I think consumers should consider buying locally produced goods. This does not mean that every imported product is undesirable, but local purchasing can provide several practical benefits.
Buying from nearby businesses keeps more economic activity within the community and can help small producers compete. Local markets may also allow customers to ask directly where a product came from or how it was made. In the case of fresh food, shorter transport distances can sometimes be another advantage.
Price and quality still matter, and people should not feel guilty for choosing an imported product that better suits their needs or budget. The aim should be informed choice rather than a strict rule. If two products are similar in quality and price, choosing the local option can be a simple way to support businesses in the area.
הכותב נמנע מהכללה “local is always better”.
- מה פירוש suits their needs?
Model composition:
Animals depend on human decisions in many areas, from farming and tourism to the way natural habitats are protected. For this reason, I believe stronger efforts should be made to prevent unnecessary harm to animals.
Protection does not always require dramatic action. Clear standards for the treatment of animals, responsible pet ownership and the preservation of habitats can all make a difference. Education is important as well, because people are more likely to behave responsibly when they understand the consequences of their choices.
Some measures may cost money or require businesses to change familiar practices. Nevertheless, convenience should not automatically be more important than animal welfare. Rules should be realistic and based on evidence, but they also need to reflect the principle that animals should not suffer simply because a safer alternative requires additional effort.
Passive structures.
- הוסיפו משפט עם even if.
Model composition:
A school garden may seem unrelated to academic study, but it can create valuable learning opportunities. I believe schools that have suitable space should consider developing a small garden with student involvement.
Students could learn how plants grow while taking responsibility for regular tasks such as watering and planning. Science lessons could use the garden for observation, while other subjects might connect it to food, the environment or community projects. Working on something that changes over time can also teach patience because results are not immediate.
A garden does require maintenance, so it should not be created without a realistic plan. However, this practical challenge can itself become part of the learning experience. When students help decide what to grow and how to care for it, the garden becomes more than decoration; it becomes a project they have helped build.
Model composition:
Climate issues appear frequently in news reports and public debates, so students are likely to encounter many claims about them. I believe schools should help young people understand the subject rather than leave them to judge complicated information without a basic foundation.
Good climate education should not consist of frightening slogans. Students need opportunities to examine evidence, understand scientific ideas and discuss possible responses. They should also learn how to distinguish reliable information from exaggerated or misleading claims found online.
The subject can be connected to science, geography, economics and citizenship rather than treated as an isolated topic. Most importantly, lessons should encourage questions instead of telling students exactly what opinion to hold. Education is strongest when it gives learners the knowledge and thinking skills needed to reach informed conclusions for themselves.
Passive.
Model composition:
Disposable plastic is convenient, but products designed to be used for only a few minutes can remain in the environment for far longer. I therefore support practical efforts to reduce unnecessary single-use plastic.
The most effective changes are often the easiest ones to repeat. Refillable bottles, reusable shopping bags and containers that can be used many times are simple examples. Businesses can help by avoiding unnecessary packaging and offering reusable options where this is practical.
However, banning every disposable product immediately would not be realistic. In hospitals or other situations, single-use items may have important safety purposes. Policy should distinguish between necessary uses and waste that can easily be avoided. The goal should not be perfection. It should be to replace disposable products whenever a safe, affordable and convenient alternative is available.
- מה פירוש distinguish between?
Passive.
Model composition:
Cycling to school can provide exercise and reduce dependence on cars, but it should be encouraged only where students can travel safely. Telling young people to cycle without providing safe routes would ignore an important part of the problem.
When suitable paths exist, cycling may give older students greater independence and make physical activity a natural part of the day. Families living close to school might also avoid short car journeys. However, distance, weather and traffic conditions mean that cycling will never be the right option for everyone.
Local authorities and schools can help by improving routes, providing secure bicycle parking and teaching road safety. The aim should be to create a realistic choice, not to pressure every student into using the same form of transport. People are more likely to change habits when the safer option is also the easier one.
כאן אוצר מילים מדויק יכול להעלות את הרמה משמעותית: practical experience, transferable skills, responsibility, career opportunities, qualifications, work-life balance, professional development, job satisfaction.
If employees are given…, people who continue to learn…, a skill that will remain useful…
Model composition:
A part-time job can be a valuable experience for teenagers, provided that it does not interfere with school or health. I believe older teenagers can learn important lessons from working a limited number of hours each week.
Earning their own money helps young people understand the connection between time, effort and spending. A job can also teach punctuality, communication and responsibility. Even simple work may require teenagers to deal politely with customers, follow instructions or cooperate with colleagues, all of which are useful skills.
However, school should remain a priority. A student who works late every evening may become exhausted and struggle to complete assignments. Parents and teenagers therefore need to consider the number of hours carefully. A suitable job can prepare a young person for adult responsibilities, but too much work can turn a useful experience into an unnecessary burden.
- מה לומדים דרך earning their own money?
Model composition:
Taking a gap year before higher education can be useful, but only when the time is used with some purpose. I do not think every student needs a year off, yet for some young adults it can provide valuable experience and clearer direction.
A person might work, volunteer, travel or improve a skill before beginning further study. These experiences can build independence and help someone reconsider what they actually want to study. After years of continuous schooling, a planned break may also allow students to return to education with greater motivation.
The main risk is losing direction completely. If a gap year becomes an unplanned period with no goals, returning to study may become harder. For this reason, students considering a break should think about what they hope to gain from it. Time away from education is valuable when it helps a person move forward rather than simply postpone a decision.

Model composition:
Remote work offers important advantages, but I do not believe it is automatically better than working in an office. The best arrangement depends on the job, the employee and the type of cooperation required.
Working from home can save commuting time and make it easier to organise certain family responsibilities. It may also allow people to work for organisations located far from where they live. On the other hand, some employees find it difficult to separate work from personal life when both happen in the same place.
Offices can provide spontaneous discussion and social contact, while home working may offer greater concentration. For many jobs, a flexible combination could provide the advantages of both. Instead of asking which location is always superior, employers should consider where particular tasks can be performed most effectively.
Passive.
Model composition:
Salary is an important consideration when choosing a career, but I do not think it should be the only one. People spend a large part of their lives working, so interest, ability and working conditions also deserve attention.
A highly paid job may become difficult to maintain if a person dislikes the daily work or constantly feels stressed. On the other hand, choosing a career without considering whether it can provide a reasonable income may create different problems. A sensible decision needs to take both practical needs and personal satisfaction into account.
Career choices can also change over time. People develop new skills, industries change and priorities may be different at thirty than they were at eighteen. Instead of searching for one perfect job, young people should aim for a direction that fits their current strengths while leaving room to grow.

Model composition:
English is not equally necessary in every profession, but being able to use it confidently can widen career opportunities in many fields. For this reason, I believe practical English should be treated as a professional skill rather than only a school subject.
Employees may need English to read software instructions, communicate with customers, participate in an online meeting or learn from professional material produced abroad. A person does not need perfect English to benefit. Being able to ask a clear question, understand an email and explain an idea can already make everyday work easier.
The most useful learning therefore depends on the learner's real needs. Someone preparing for interviews requires different practice from someone who mainly writes emails. When English lessons are connected to situations a person genuinely faces, vocabulary and grammar become tools for communication rather than information to memorise for a test.
Model composition:
Individual ability is important in almost every profession, but few employees work entirely alone. I therefore believe learning how to cooperate with other people is a major professional skill.
Good teamwork involves more than being friendly. Employees need to explain their ideas, listen to disagreement, divide responsibilities and sometimes change their own plan. A person who is highly talented but unable to communicate may make a team less effective. In contrast, clear cooperation allows different strengths to be combined.
Teamwork does not mean agreeing with everyone. In fact, respectful disagreement can improve a decision when people are willing to explain their reasoning and listen to alternatives. Schools can help prepare students for this by giving them structured opportunities to solve problems together. Learning to work with others is not separate from professional preparation; it is part of it.
Model composition:
University education can open many doors, but it is not the only respectable path after school. I believe vocational and professional training should be presented as serious options rather than as second choices for students who do not attend university.
Some careers require academic degrees, whereas others are learned more effectively through practical instruction and supervised experience. Students differ in their strengths as well. A person who enjoys building, repairing or working directly with equipment may thrive in a practical programme that leads to a skilled profession.
Young people need accurate information about qualifications, costs, employment opportunities and future development before making a decision. Choosing automatically based on social expectations can lead to years spent on an unsuitable course. The best educational route is not the one with the most impressive name; it is the one that prepares a person well for a realistic goal.

Model composition:
Online job interviews have become a practical way for employers and candidates to meet without travelling. I think they are useful for an early stage of recruitment, although they also create challenges that should not be ignored.
A video interview can save time and allow a candidate to speak with a company located in another city or country. However, technical problems may interrupt the conversation, and some people find it harder to create a natural connection through a screen. Candidates also need to think about sound, lighting and a quiet environment in addition to preparing their answers.
For an initial interview, these disadvantages are usually manageable. Employers can reduce problems by testing the technology and giving clear instructions beforehand. Ultimately, whether the meeting is online or in person, candidates should be judged mainly on their suitability for the job rather than their comfort with a particular format.
Passive.
Model composition:
Finishing school or university no longer means that a person has finished learning. I believe the ability to continue developing new skills is becoming increasingly important in both work and everyday life.
Technology changes, professions develop and information that was useful several years ago may become outdated. Employees who continue learning can adapt more easily when their role changes. Learning is also valuable outside work. Adults may study a language, improve financial knowledge or develop a practical skill simply because it increases independence or enjoyment.
Continuous learning does not always require another formal qualification. A short course, guided practice or regular reading can sometimes be enough to make progress. The important habit is remaining curious and willing to begin again as a learner. In a changing world, knowing how to learn may be just as valuable as what a person already knows.

Model composition:
Not every student will start a business, yet I believe basic entrepreneurial projects can still have a place in education. The main value is not teaching teenagers how to become company owners; it is giving them practice in turning an idea into a realistic plan.
A small project may require students to identify a problem, think about a customer, calculate costs, divide tasks and present an idea. These activities combine communication, mathematics, creativity and decision-making. Students also learn that an attractive idea is not enough if it cannot be organised or explained clearly.
Schools should be careful not to present business success as the only measure of achievement. Entrepreneurship can instead be used as a practical framework for learning responsibility and problem-solving. Even students who never run a company can benefit from learning how to plan, test an idea, respond to feedback and improve it.
Passive.
אפשר לכתוב “When I was fourteen…” לעיתים דוגמה כללית יעילה יותר: a teenager who sleeps only five hours…, a family that sets one screen-free meal…, a student who joins a sports team….
“Parents always know what is best” ו־“Friends make teenagers do bad things” הן טענות קשות להגנה. כתיבה בוגרת משתמשת ב־can, may, often, in some cases ומכירה בכך שאנשים ומצבים שונים זה מזה.
Model composition:
Volunteering is usually discussed in terms of helping other people, but I believe it can also have a strong effect on the volunteer. Giving time to a useful activity can develop skills and change the way a person sees the community.
Someone who volunteers regularly may meet people outside their usual social group and learn to communicate with different ages and backgrounds. Responsibility for a real task can also build confidence because another person or organisation is depending on the volunteer's effort. In some cases, volunteering may even introduce a young person to a future field of study or work.
These personal benefits should not become the only reason to volunteer. The activity still needs to meet a genuine need. Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with both sides gaining something valuable. The best volunteering often creates a relationship in which help, experience and understanding grow together.
Model composition:
Friends naturally influence one another, and this influence can be positive. However, I believe important decisions should not be made simply because a group expects us to choose a certain way.
Good friends can offer another point of view and notice problems that we have missed. Their experience may help us think more carefully. The difficulty begins when advice turns into pressure. A teenager, for example, might agree to an activity mainly because refusing feels embarrassing, even though the choice does not suit them.
Listening to friends is therefore useful, but the final decision should remain personal. Before following advice, it is worth asking whether the suggestion matches our own values, goals and situation. A supportive friendship should make it easier to think honestly, not harder to say no.
- מה תפקיד even though?
- מה משמעות matches our own values?
Model composition:
Parents have a responsibility to guide younger children in their use of screens, but strict time limits are not always enough. I believe families should consider both how long a device is used and what it is being used for.
An hour spent talking to a relative, creating a video or completing homework is different from an hour of endless scrolling. This is why a single number cannot describe every type of screen use. At the same time, children may find it difficult to stop an entertaining activity by themselves, so reasonable boundaries can still be helpful.
The best approach is likely to combine limits with conversation. Parents can agree on device-free times, such as meals or bedtime, while explaining the reason for the rule. Children gradually need to learn to manage technology independently, and rules should help them develop that ability rather than merely obey a timer.
Passive.
Model composition:
Competitive sport can be an excellent experience for teenagers, but the value depends greatly on the way competition is handled. I support youth competition when improvement, teamwork and enjoyment remain more important than winning at any cost.
Training for a goal can teach discipline and persistence. Players also learn how to cooperate under pressure and how to respond when a result is disappointing. These lessons can be useful far beyond sport. Problems begin when adults create excessive pressure or make young athletes feel that losing is a personal failure.
Coaches and parents therefore have an important responsibility. They should celebrate effort and progress as well as results. Competition itself is not necessarily harmful; in the right environment, it can help teenagers learn how to succeed without becoming arrogant and how to lose without giving up.
- מה פירוש at any cost?
Model composition:
Books and lessons can teach us a great deal about other places, but visiting somewhere personally creates a different kind of learning. I believe travel can deepen understanding when people are curious and pay attention to the place rather than simply taking photographs.
Travellers may hear another language used naturally, notice local routines and discover that daily life is more complex than a short description suggests. They also need to solve practical problems such as finding their way, managing money or communicating when something is unclear. These experiences can develop independence.
However, travel is not available to everyone and it does not automatically make a person knowledgeable. Someone who visits a country without engaging with it may learn very little. Travel is most educational when experience is combined with preparation, observation and a willingness to question previous assumptions.
Present Perfect.
Model composition:
Reading fiction may appear less practical than learning a technical skill, yet I believe stories still have an important place in education and personal life. A novel allows readers to spend time inside experiences and viewpoints that are not their own.
Following a character over many pages requires attention and imagination. Readers may also encounter unfamiliar vocabulary in context and see how ideas or emotions can be expressed in different ways. Most importantly, a story can raise questions about choices, relationships or society without providing one simple answer.
Not every person will enjoy the same type of book, which is why choice matters. Reading should not become only an exercise in answering questions for a test. When people discover subjects and styles that interest them, books can become a source of language, reflection and enjoyment rather than another school obligation.
החיבור אינו נשען על “reading is good”.
- מה ניגוד practical/fiction בפתיחה?
Model composition:
Students spend many hours at school, so the food available there can influence their daily habits. I believe schools should make nutritious options easy to find and reasonably priced rather than expecting students to make good choices in an environment filled only with less useful alternatives.
Healthy food does not need to be complicated. Fresh sandwiches, fruit, water and balanced meals can provide practical choices. Schools can also teach students how to understand basic food information instead of dividing every product into “good” or “bad”.
Students should still have some freedom to choose what they eat. The purpose is not to control every snack but to create an environment in which healthier choices are convenient. When the easiest option is also a reasonable one, students do not need extraordinary willpower every time they become hungry during a busy school day.
Passive.
Model composition:
Students often focus on how many hours they study while paying much less attention to how rested they are. I believe sleep should be treated as part of effective learning rather than as time taken away from it.
A tired student may read the same page repeatedly without concentrating or make simple mistakes in work they normally understand. Staying awake late to prepare for a test can therefore become counterproductive if the student is too exhausted to think clearly the next day. Good study habits need to include realistic planning so that important work is not always left until midnight.
Of course, students cannot control every reason for poor sleep. However, they can examine habits such as late-night screen use or leaving assignments until the last moment. Studying effectively is not only about working harder; it is also about creating conditions in which the brain can work well.
Model composition:
Famous people can inspire others, but fame itself does not make someone a good role model. I believe people should pay attention to a person's actions and values rather than simply admiring popularity.
An athlete, artist or businessperson may demonstrate discipline, creativity or persistence. Learning about the effort behind an achievement can be motivating. However, social media often shows only a carefully selected part of a public figure's life, which means followers may form opinions without knowing the full situation.
It is therefore sensible to admire particular qualities without copying everything a famous person does. Role models can also be found much closer to home among teachers, relatives, colleagues or community members. The most useful question is not “How famous is this person?” but “What exactly can I learn from the way this person behaves?”
Model composition:
Failure is unpleasant, and I do not believe people need to fail simply for the sake of failing. Nevertheless, mistakes and unsuccessful attempts can become valuable when people examine what went wrong and use that information to improve.
A student who receives a disappointing result can either see it as proof of inability or identify the specific skills that need more practice. The same principle applies to sport, work and many other areas. Progress often involves trying a method, receiving feedback and adjusting the next attempt.
Failure by itself teaches nothing. Someone can repeat the same mistake many times without learning from it. What matters is reflection followed by action. Success is therefore not the absence of mistakes; it is often the ability to respond to them intelligently, change strategy and continue working toward a goal.
- מה משמעות reflection followed by action?
- מדוע failure by itself teaches nothing הוא משפט חשוב?
- השתמשו ב־If… would…
Nowadays, there are many advantages and disadvantages to…
What is your first reason? Why does it matter? Can you give an example? What might someone on the other side say?
Firstly, furthermore, moreover, nevertheless, consequently, on the other hand, therefore
הטעות השנייה היא sentence stretching: תלמיד לוקח רעיון שאמור להיות שני משפטים ומחבר אותו למשפט בן חמישים מילים עם because, which, although, and, therefore.
זו הסיבה שעבודה עם chunks חשובה: make a decision ולא do a decision; gain experience; take responsibility; pay attention; have an impact.
What did you mean here?
אוצר מילים אפשר לתרגל באמצעות “משפחות נושא”. education: effective learning, practical skills, academic pressure. technology: reliable information, digital privacy, online access. work: gain experience, professional skills, employment opportunities.
עדיף להרחיב vocabulary דרך צירופים שלמים: make an informed decision, take responsibility, gain practical experience, play a significant role.
Part-time jobs are useful for teenagers,
For these reasons, Overall, Ultimately, I believe schools should teach financial education, Teaching students how to make responsible financial choices can prepare them for decisions they will face long after leaving school.
Why?, Can you give an example?, Is there another side?
Module G:
British Council – Opinion Essay Writing:
Cambridge English – Writing Assessment Criteria:
One-to-One Tuition:
