לכן מומלץ ללמוד גם צירופים שלמים: reduce emissions, severe drought, renewable energy sources, pose a threat, adapt to change, raise awareness, take measures.
לדוגמה: scarcity – מחסור; water scarcity; Many regions face water scarcity.
How can a long drought affect farmers?
Coastal communities are increasingly vulnerable to rising sea levels,

Repeated extreme-weather events may undermine years of economic progress in vulnerable regions.
למשל: mitigate – להפחית חומרה – mitigate the impact – Trees can help mitigate some environmental impacts.
במקום ללמוד however, therefore, although ו־as a result בנפרד, התלמיד כותב פסקה שבה הוא צריך להציג בעיה, סיבה, ניגוד ותוצאה.
אפשר לומר "I don't remember this word", לבדוק אותה ולנסות שוב.
Coastal communities may be vulnerable to flooding.
למשל, במשפט Unlike renewable sources, fossil fuels are finite, המילה unlike מרמזת על ניגוד.
Flashcards?
לפעמים לראות drought ולזכור "בצורת", ופעמים אחרות לראות תיאור כמו “a long period with very little rainfall” ולנסות לשלוף את drought.
