Why do sea turtles return to the beach?.

Where do the birds sleep at night?, Why did the workers build a small bridge?, מחפשים סיבה. When do the turtles leave the beach?, מחפשים זמן.

The birds return in the evening, ואילו השאלה תשתמש במילה come back.

לכן כדאי לתרגל “זוגות משמעות”: buy / purchase, help / assist, return / come back, protect / keep safe, begin / start, large / big.

Bees visit flowers to collect nectar. They also carry pollen from one flower to another. What else do bees do when they visit flowers?

צעד שמיני: חוזרים לשאלה ושואלים: האם באמת עניתי על why, where, when או what?

Why do elephants go to the river? They go to the river in the afternoon, המשפט שלו עשוי להיות נכון מבחינת הטקסט, אבל הוא עונה על when ולא על why.

המילים הקטנות שמפילות תשובות: not, also, only, before, after ו־because

The fox drinks water before it looks for food אינו אותו דבר כמו after it looks for food.

גם because, so ו־therefore קשורות לסיבה ותוצאה. The lake was dirty, so volunteers came to clean it, Why did the volunteers come? What happened because the lake was dirty?

The birds leave before winter מול The birds leave after winter.

Plastic can hurt sea animals. Volunteers clean the beach. Sea turtles return to the beach.

Why do birds stop during migration?. במקום לומר מיד “התשובה היא to rest and find food”, המורה יכול לשאול: “מה פירוש Why?”, “איזו מילה בטקסט מצביעה על עצירה?”, “מה מופיע מיד אחרי to?”.

Which animal do you find interesting and why?.

Why do the birds stop? ובטקסט כתוב They stop to rest, אין צורך להמציא ניסוח מסובך.

Cambridge English – Teaching Activities: World Wildlife Day, A2, 2025:
