לפני כמה שנים לימדתי תלמיד בכיתה ה׳ שהגיע לשיעור הראשון כשהוא כמעט לא הסכים לפתוח את המחברת באנגלית. בכל פעם שהמורה בבית הספר הודיעה שיהיה מבחן, כבר כמה ימים לפני כן התחילו כאבי הבטן. הוא ידע חלק מהמילים, הכיר לא מעט חוקים, ואפילו הצליח לענות נכון כשעבדנו יחד. אבל ברגע שראה דף שעליו כתובה המילה Test – הכול כאילו נעלם.

בשיעור הראשון לא התחלנו מדקדוק ולא ביקשתי ממנו לשנן עשרים מילים. נתתי לו מבחן קטן מאוד: חמישה תרגילים. הראשון היה אוצר מילים, השני השלמת משפט, השלישי שתי שאלות על קטע קצר. הוא סיים אותו בתוך כמה דקות.

ואז בדקנו יחד.

ארבע תשובות מתוך חמש היו נכונות.

אני עדיין זוכר את המבט שלו. הוא שאל: "זה באמת מבחן של כיתה ה׳?" אמרתי לו שכן. באותו רגע משהו השתנה. לא האנגלית שלו השתנתה בחמש דקות – הביטחון שלו השתנה.

בדיוק בגלל זה נולד המדריך הזה. במקום לתת לילד עוד הסבר תיאורטי על אנגלית, תקבלו כאן 100 דוגמאות של מבחנים באנגלית לכיתה ה׳ עם תשובות. אלה אינם מבחנים רשמיים של משרד החינוך ואינם העתקה של מבחנים מבתי ספר או מספרי לימוד. אלה מבחני תרגול מקוריים שנועדו לאפשר לילדים ולהורים לתרגל את סוגי המיומנויות המקובלות בגיל הזה: אוצר מילים, דקדוק בסיסי, Present Simple, Present Progressive, שאלות, מילות יחס, הבנת הנקרא, בניית משפטים וכתיבה.

לא כל תלמיד בכיתה ה׳ נמצא בדיוק באותה רמה. יש ילדים שכבר קוראים טקסטים באנגלית כמעט ללא עזרה, ויש ילדים שעדיין עוצרים בכל משפט. לכן המבחנים כאן מתחילים ברמה נגישה ומתקדמים בהדרגה.

פרק 1: למה אנגלית היא כבר לא פריבילגיה אלא בסיס להמשך הלמידה

בכיתה ה׳ מתחיל אצל ילדים רבים מעבר משמעותי. האנגלית כבר אינה רק רשימת צבעים, מספרים וחיות. הילד מתחיל לפגוש טקסטים, שאלות, משפטים ארוכים יותר, הוראות באנגלית ומבנים דקדוקיים שצריך להבין ולא רק לזכור.

זה גם השלב שבו פער קטן עלול להתחיל לגדול. ילד שלא בטוח בקריאה נמנע מקריאה. ילד שלא קורא מספיק מתקשה באוצר מילים. כשאוצר המילים קטן, גם קטע הבנת הנקרא נראה מפחיד יותר. ואז מגיע מבחן והילד אומר: "אני לא טוב באנגלית".

לפעמים המשפט הזה בכלל לא נכון. הילד פשוט צריך לפרק את המשימה לחלקים קטנים.

דוגמה פרקטית

ילדה רואה את המשפט: "My brother usually walks to school, but today he is going by car." היא אולי מכירה כל מילה בנפרד, אבל מתקשה להבין למה כתוב walks בחלק הראשון ו-is going בחלק השני. במקום לומר לה "את לא יודעת זמנים", אפשר להראות לה את שתי מילות המפתח: usually ו-today. פתאום המשפט נהיה ברור יותר.

טיפ שאפשר ליישם מיד

בכל מבחן שהילד פותר, בקשו ממנו לסמן בעיפרון מילים שנותנות רמז: every day, usually, now, today, at the moment, yesterday, always, never. המטרה היא ללמד אותו לחפש מידע ולא לנחש.

טעות נפוצה

הטעות הנפוצה ביותר היא ללמוד למבחן רק ערב לפניו. באנגלית קשה מאוד לבנות קריאה ואוצר מילים בכמה שעות. עדיף לפתור בכל יום מבחן קצר אחד מתוך המאגר הזה מאשר עשרה מבחנים ברצף ביום האחרון.

פרק 2: חמישה מיתוסים של הורים על לימוד אנגלית אונליין

מיתוס 1: "ילד בכיתה ה׳ לא יכול להתרכז מול מסך"

ילד בדרך כלל מתקשה להתרכז כאשר הוא רק מקשיב. כשהוא קורא, עונה, מסמן, מדבר ומשתתף – החוויה שונה לחלוטין. שיעור אישי אונליין טוב אינו הרצאה.

מיתוס 2: "צריך ללמוד רק את מה שהמורה בבית הספר נתנה"

בוודאי שצריך להתכונן לחומר הנלמד בכיתה, אבל לפעמים הקושי נמצא שלב אחד קודם. אם מבחן עוסק בהבנת הנקרא והילד מתקשה בקריאת משפט בסיסי, עוד קטע ארוך לא בהכרח יפתור את הבעיה.

מבחן אחד יכול להיות מושפע מלחץ, חוסר ריכוז, אוצר מילים מסוים או טעות בהבנת הוראות. לכן כדאי לבדוק דפוס לאורך כמה מבחנים.

מיתוס 4: "צריך לשנן מאות מילים"

אוצר מילים הוא קריטי, אבל מילה שילד פוגש בתוך משפט, משתמש בה בעצמו ופוגש שוב אחרי כמה ימים נקלטת בדרך כלל בצורה משמעותית יותר ממילה שהוא רק העתיק עשר פעמים.

מיתוס 5: "שיעור אונליין קל יותר משיעור רגיל"

שיעור טוב אינו אמור להיות קל או קשה בגלל המחשב. הוא צריך להיות מותאם. תלמיד יכול לעבוד בשיעור אחד על קריאה, דיבור, דקדוק, מבחן וכתיבה – הכול בקצב שמתאים לו.

דוגמה פרקטית

אם ילד טועה שוב ושוב ב-does ו-do, המורה יכול לעצור, לפתוח חמישה משפטים חדשים ולבדוק אם הבעיה נפתרה מיד. אין צורך להמשיך לשאר הכיתה.

טיפ ליישום

כאשר אתם בודקים את המבחנים שבהמשך, אל תרשמו רק ציון. רשמו ליד כל טעות קטגוריה: Vocabulary, Reading, Grammar, Spelling או Instructions. אחרי חמישה מבחנים כבר יתחיל להופיע דפוס.

טעות נפוצה

לא להפוך כל טעות לאירוע. ילד שמרגיש שכל תשובה לא נכונה גוררת הרצאה מתחיל לפחד לענות.

פרק 3: איך ילדים לומדים שפה – ומה מבחן טוב צריך לבדוק

ילד לא לומד אנגלית באמצעות חוק אחד בלבד. הוא צריך לזהות מילים, להבין משפט, לקשר בין מידע, לזכור מבנים ולהצליח לייצר תשובה בעצמו.

זו הסיבה שמבחן שמכיל עשרים שאלות זהות של השלמת פועל אינו נותן תמונה מלאה. תלמיד יכול להיות מצוין בתרגיל כזה ועדיין להתקשות להבין פסקה קצרה. תלמיד אחר יכול להבין סיפור נהדר אך לטעות באיות.

חזרו לאחר שבוע למבחן שהילד כבר פתר. אל תספרו לו שזה אותו חומר. אם הפעם הוא מצליח ללא עזרה, אתם יודעים שהלמידה התחילה להתבסס.

טעות נפוצה

לתקן לילד את התשובה לפני שנתתם לו זמן לחשוב. לפעמים חמש שניות נוספות הן כל מה שהוא צריך.

פרק 4: שיעור פרטי פרונטלי מול אונליין מול קבוצה בבית הספר

אין שיטת לימוד אחת שמתאימה לכל ילד.

בקבוצה בבית הספר יש יתרון חברתי והילד מתקדם יחד עם הכיתה, אבל למורה יש תלמידים רבים ולכן לא תמיד ניתן לעצור על כל קושי קטן.

בשיעור פרטי פרונטלי קיימת אינטראקציה אישית מלאה ואפשר לעבוד בצורה ממוקדת. החיסרון המעשי למשפחות רבות הוא נסיעות, תיאומים וזמן.

בשיעור אונליין אישי ניתן לקבל את אותה תשומת לב של אחד על אחד בלי נסיעה, לשתף טקסטים ומבחנים על המסך ולעבור במהירות בין קריאה, כתיבה ודיבור.

דוגמה פרקטית

תלמיד פותר את מבחן מספר 18 ומקבל רק שתי תשובות נכונות מתוך חמש. המורה רואה שכל הטעויות קשורות ל-have ו-has. במקום להמשיך למבחן הבא, הוא בונה במקום חמישה משפטים נוספים בדיוק על הנקודה הזאת.

אם אתם בוחרים בשיעור אישי, בקשו מהמורה להסביר לכם פעם בכמה שיעורים מהי נקודת החולשה המרכזית ומה השתפר. לא צריך דוח ארוך – שתי שורות ברורות מספיקות.

טעות נפוצה

לבחור מורה רק לפי השאלה "כמה חומר הוא מספיק בשעה?". לפעמים שיעור מצוין עוסק בעשר דקות בדיוק באותה טעות שהפריעה לילד במשך חודשים.

פרק 5: איך לבחור מורה או מסגרת לאנגלית אונליין

• בדקו אם המורה מתאים את רמת הטקסט לילד ולא רק לגיל הרשום בתעודה.
• בדקו אם הילד מדבר במהלך השיעור ולא רק מקשיב.
• בדקו אם מתקנים טעויות בצורה נעימה וברורה.
• בדקו אם המורה מסוגל להסביר את אותה נקודה בדרך נוספת.

אם תלמיד אינו מבין את המשפט "Does Tom play football?", מורה טוב לא מסתפק באמירה "צריך does כי זה he". הוא יכול להציג לצד המשפט גם "Do they play football?" ולבקש מהילד לזהות בעצמו את ההבדל.

טיפ ליישום

אחרי שיעור ניסיון שאלו את הילד שאלה פשוטה: "מה למדת היום שלא ידעת לפני השיעור?" התשובה מלמדת הרבה יותר מהשאלה "היה לך כיף?"

טעות נפוצה

לחפש מורה שייתן לילד מיד חומר קשה מאוד כדי "לקדם אותו". למידה טובה נבנית באזור שבו יש אתגר, אבל עדיין קיימת הצלחה.

פרק 6: איך נראה שיעור מוצלח – ו-100 מבחנים באנגלית לכיתה ה עם תשובות

שיעור טוב יכול להתחיל בשיחה של כמה דקות, לעבור לחזרה על מילים, לקריאת קטע קצר ואז למבחן של חמש עד עשר דקות. המבחן אינו חייב להיות אירוע מלחיץ. הוא יכול להיות כלי קטן שמראה בדיוק מה כבר ברור ומה צריך לתרגל.

דוגמה פרקטית לשימוש ב-100 המבחנים

נניח שילד פתר מבחנים 15, 16, 17 ו-18. אתם רואים שהוא מצליח באוצר המילים אבל שוב ושוב כותב "Does you" ו-"Do she". זו כבר אינפורמציה מצוינת. אין צורך לחזור על כל החומר של כיתה ה׳. צריך לעבוד באופן ממוקד על Do ו-Does.

טיפ ליישום מיידי

אל תתנו לילד את כל 100 המבחנים בבת אחת. בחרו מבחן אחד ביום או שלושה מבחנים בשבוע. לאחר כל חמישה מבחנים חזרו על הטעויות בלבד. כך הילד מרגיש שהוא מתקדם ולא שהוא עומד מול הר של חומר.

טעות נפוצה

להסתכל רק על מספר התשובות הנכונות. נסו להבין למה הילד טעה. האם הוא לא הכיר את המילה? האם לא קרא את כל השאלה? האם התבלבל בין Present Simple ל-Present Progressive? האם ידע את התשובה אבל כתב אותה בצורה לא נכונה? הסיבה לטעות חשובה לפעמים יותר מהטעות עצמה.

פרק 7: תפקיד ההורים – איך לעזור בלי להפוך את הבית לכיתה נוספת

להורים יש השפעה עצומה על היחס של הילד לאנגלית, אבל אין צורך להפוך למורים שלו.

אם הילד יושב מול מבחן ואומר "אני לא יודע כלום", התגובה האוטומטית של מבוגר היא לפעמים להתחיל להסביר. דווקא כאן אפשר לעשות משהו אחר: לבקש ממנו לבחור רק את השאלה הראשונה שהוא כן מבין.

פתאום המשימה אינה "מבחן באנגלית". היא שאלה אחת.

לאחר מכן עוד אחת.

כך נבנית תחושת מסוגלות.

מה כן לעשות?

• לתת לילד זמן לחשוב לפני שעוזרים.
• לשבח תהליך ולא רק ציון: "ראיתי שחזרת לטקסט ומצאת את התשובה".
• לסמן מילים שהילד עדיין אינו מכיר ולחזור אליהן בהמשך.
• לעבוד בפרקי זמן קצרים.
• לעודד קריאה בקול בלי לצחוק על מבטא או טעויות.
• להשתמש במבחנים כדי לאתר קושי ולא כדי להפחיד.

מה לא לעשות?

• לא להשוות לאח, אחות או חבר מהכיתה.
• לא לומר "כבר למדנו את זה מאה פעם".
• לא לתת את התשובה מיד.
• לא לתקן כל מילה בזמן שהילד מנסה לדבר.
• לא להפוך כל תרגול למבחן עם ציון.

דוגמה פרקטית

ילד קורא: "She walks to school every day" ואומר walk במקום walks. במקום לעצור מיד ולומר "טעית", תנו לו לסיים את המשפט ואז שאלו: "מי הולכת לבית הספר – I או she?" לעיתים הילד יתקן את עצמו.

טיפ ליישום

צרו דף אחד בשם "המילים שלי". בכל פעם שהילד נתקל במילה שלא הכיר באחד מ-100 המבחנים, רשמו אותה. אל תכניסו יותר מחמש עד שמונה מילים חדשות ביום.

טעות נפוצה

למדוד התקדמות רק בציון הבא בבית הספר. לפעמים השיפור הראשון מופיע במקום אחר: הילד קורא מהר יותר, שואל פחות "מה כתוב פה?", מצליח להתחיל לבד, או מפסיק להילחץ כשהוא רואה טקסט באנגלית. אלה סימנים משמעותיים מאוד.

איך להשתמש נכון ב-100 מבחנים באנגלית לכיתה ה׳?

אם הגעתם עד לכאן, אל תנסו להספיק הכול.

בחרו היום מבחן אחד.

תנו לילד לפתור אותו לבד ככל האפשר. בדקו יחד. אם היו טעויות, נסו להבין את הסיבה. למחרת בחרו מבחן נוסף מאותו נושא או מנושא קרוב.

אפשר גם להשתמש במבחנים כבדיקת רמה ראשונית. לדוגמה, לתת מבחן אוצר מילים, מבחן Present Simple, מבחן Present Progressive ומבחן הבנת הנקרא. ארבעה מבחנים קצרים כאלה כבר יכולים לתת תמונה ראשונית טובה יותר מאשר לשאול ילד "אתה יודע אנגלית?"

אם הילד מתקשה בהרבה מהתרגילים, אין סיבה להיבהל. זה בדיוק הרגע שבו תרגול מסודר או שיעור אישי יכולים לעזור. כשעובדים אחד על אחד אפשר לקחת טעות אחת, להסביר אותה, לתרגל אותה בכמה דרכים ולוודא שהילד באמת הבין לפני שממשיכים.

והכי חשוב: מבחן הוא לא הגדרה של הילד.

ילד שקיבל 60 באנגלית אינו "ילד של 60". הוא ילד שיש כרגע דברים שהוא יודע ודברים שעדיין צריך ללמוד. המילה "עדיין" עושה כאן הבדל גדול.

ראיתי תלמידים שמתחילים כשהם מפחדים לקרוא משפט ומגיעים למצב שבו הם פותחים טקסט חדש לבד. השינוי בדרך כלל לא מגיע מקפיצה אחת ענקית. הוא מגיע מעשרות הצלחות קטנות: מילה שהיום הילד זכר לבד, שאלה שהוא קרא בלי תרגום, פועל שהוא הטה נכון, ופסקה שלפני חודש נראתה לו בלתי אפשרית.

אם אתם רוצים להתחיל, אפשר פשוט לבחור עכשיו אחד מתוך 100 המבחנים שבעמוד ולתת לילד לנסות. בלי לחץ ובלי להפוך את זה לאירוע גדול. לפעמים מבחן קטן של חמש דקות הוא בדיוק המקום שבו הביטחון מתחיל להיבנות.
